Now lets me briefly describe the project extension that I think is necessary. Its topic is to develop the design work before. In my opinion, it allows me to understand my previous projects, reflect on my own deficiencies, including rethinking the direction of the design. In my view, this is an essential skill training for designers. But at the beginning of this project, I was very confused because my illuminate project was designed simply to be a combination of the vertical park and natural light. It is without giving a building soul (personal design thinking). When I finished writing feedback. I found this problem appeared in the primary research because I was always confined to taking pictures to record what I think is helpful. During this time, I chose a field trip to experience the user's feelings. I came to the old town of Oxford Street in the previous project, because my building served the ordinary residents. I went to the City of London, I walked in the streets of the cement forest and white-collar working area, and I feel the pressure of that kind of work. I think that the life of these white-collar workers lacks vitality or feeling severe oppression. Just like birds living in cages. They need a place to vent their emotions and enjoy life, this became my design theme in the extension project. When I did my primary research, I also went to a lot of parks, because I wanted to understand the relationship between plants and natural light, and how to design a park with comfortable and different scenery was what I needed to think about. In the secondary research, I found a lot of designers' projects, based on these works to propose inspiration and improve my design.

vertical park 2.0 brief

The zero floor, communication space, is designed to provide people with a place for rest and communication.
The first floor, by planting a large number of plants to simulate the forest, provides a space for people to meditate and feel the nature.
The second layer is the game space. Large lego toys have been used to simulate the rockery. People can freely play their ideas to move these devices.
The third layer, the desert, is designed to remind people to pay attention to the protection of the environment. Now more and more countries are suffering from a lot of pollution of the environment. Through this space, ideas can be well conveyed.
The fourth floor, the grass, is designed from the common park where people can enjoy sunbathing and relaxing.
